Swim Class

Chloe just completed Waterbabies 1 class! She can now swim underwater for about 5 seconds, has learned to kick and is starting to float on her back. She was a little hesitant at first but really "jumped in" and enjoyed it. We were so proud of her. I am going to attempt to add some pics and a short video clip of us in the pool. Enjoy!

Silly with the Sippie

One of her latest talents has been to hold her sippie cup in her mouth with no hands! Maybe this is something only Chris & I will get a kick out of but I thought I would share!

Baby Love

The last couple of months Chloe has developed a love for her baby dolls. Her babies are Ella, Kaylee, Sweet Pea and Ashlee. Her favorite is Ella, which she pronounces "Lella". Well, actually she now calls all of them either "Lella" or "bebe". She carries them everywhere - to all the stores and restaurants, she pushes them around in her new stroller (thanks to Nana!), she also pushes them on top of "Lion", rocks them in her little rocking chair and she sleeps with them - all of them!! She gives them love and kisses and has a pretend bottle she feeds them. Chris has decided that she will own a daycare one day! I can't put into words how sweet it is to watch her with her babies. Easter

Oops - I am almost forgot Easter! Easter was actually extra special this year - it was Chloe's 1st chance to hunt for eggs & it was on my b-day! The day before Easter our community had an Easter Egg Hunt & we went. She had a great time gathering eggs & even more fun playing with the boxes of "Nerds" candy. On Easter day we went to church and then went to hunt eggs with Karson & Kolton at their house. Here are some pics of the various hunts & Easter day.

Third Day & Rangers Game Day

On April 12th we went to the Ranger's game & to a Third Day concert. We had a fun time and Chloe did great. She played on the blanket, ate snacks out of Lizzy's hand and danced around during the concert and then at the game she watched some of the plays but thoroughly enjoyed doing the wave! Tax Season

Chloe & I went to help Nana, Papa & Chester out some during tax season and we came home for good on April 11th. Chloe enjoyed hanging out at the office and you just never knew who's lap she would be sitting in next! She enjoyed entertaining the clients and telling them "bye, bye". I know Chris sure missed her but I also know he enjoyed the extra sleep! :)

Karson Spends the Night!

Karson finally spends the night with us while Kolton is in the hospital. Chloe & Karson are such good buddies - they had a blast together. They played and played. Here are some pictures of them (& Chris)!

Trip to Houston Area

Chris changed jobs and took a few extra days so that we could go on a mini-vacation to the Houston area. We went to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo to see Alan Jackson perform (Chloe was not interested in anything but playing with Bear in the hallway!), the Moody Gardens in Galveston and Chris went to NASA while me and Chloe went to the Children's Museum of Houston. We also went to the dog races and gambled almost $5! Oh and did I mention that we went to a few shopping malls?!

Baby Kolton

My last post was March 1st - the very next morning Kolton, Chloe's 3rd cousin was born. I went to the hospital while Chris & Chloe stayed home & played. Since then she has seen Kolton several times and is very intrigued by him. She points to him & says "baby" and reaches out her hands to hold him. This is a picture of him while Chester is holding him at Nana & Papa's house - he was about a week old.

Chloe & the Stomach Bug

For the past week Chloe has been sick with a stomach virus. This was actually the first real sickness she has had during her life and it was hard on all of us! It was horrible to see her little body throwing up & knowing that she did not feel good. Despite how sick she was, she would still attempt to play and then we would find her laying next to her toys. It was heartbreaking! Thank the Lord, she is much better now & once again, we can't keep up with her. We have been reminded of the blessing of a healthy child! :)

This is the last photo taken of Chloe drinking from a bottle. She has now been weaned and is drinking milk from a cup like a big girl. This picture was taken during our bedtime routine and she is reading "Snuggle Puppy."

Miss Independence

Chloe has really been expressing her independence lately - especially when it relates to food! She decides what to eat, when to eat and then when to throw the rest on the floor! She has also been feeding herself pretty well. Here is a shot of her at a restaurant feeding herself some mashed potatoes - YUMMY!!
